Former India former-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and women’s team vice-captain Smriti Madhana have expressed their solidarity with the Indian armed forces as they continue to respond strongly to the recent airstrikes from Pakistan. Pakistan on Friday continued their airstrikes by incorporating drones and missiles at Indian border cities in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. But all of them were successfully thwarted by India’s defense systems. The attacks are in response to the operation vermilion launched by the Indian Armed Forces on the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, after 26 people, mainly tourists were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahgam last month.

Due to cross -border tension, the IPL 2025 season has been suspended by BCCI for a week, which announced on Friday. So far, IPL 2025 has hosted 58 games, with 12 matches to be played in league stage, followed by playoffs. It remains to be seen how the situation comes out in the next few days, so that a window is found to resume the tournament.
