England Cricket is set to enter a new era under the new captain Harry Brook, who took duty in all formats after poor performance in the ICC tournament. After hosting Zimbabwe for a one-off Test match starting on May 22 at the Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, England will contest against the West Indies with three days of international (ODI) and three T20I against the West Indies. The ODI series is going on with an initial match at Edgbaston on Wednesday 29 May. In both T20 and ODI squads, England have chosen five players who should have played for their respective franchisees in the Indian Premier League 2025 that begins on Saturday, 17 May.

Jose Butler (Gujarat Titans), Joffra Archer (Rajasthan Royals), Will Jack (Mumbai Indians) Jacob Bethel (Royal Challengers Bangalore) both include squads.

Phil Salat (Royal Challengers Bangalore) will not play a 50 -over game, but will report for the T20 series starting from June 6. With the finals played on June 3, their participation may be possible.

Hampshire all-rounder Liam Dawson returns to the T20I squad for the first time since September 2022. The left -arm spinner known for its versatility will have to be added to his 11 T20 caps.

Nottinghamshire Left-Arce Seemar Luke Wood also returns to the England T20 set-up, which was last painted in September 2023. Lancashire spinner Tom Hartley has been included in the ODI team. He last represented England in this format against Ireland in September 2023.
