The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed that it has received a green light from the government to visit Pakistan for its upcoming five -match T20I series starting on 27 May. There was some uncertainty whether the series would move forward after cross -border tension between India and Pakistan in the second week of May. However, according to the latest reports, Bangladesh cricket team is fully prepared to visit Pakistan after receiving Go-Farward. The T20I series will end on 5 June.

According to a report by CrackbaseBCB has been indicated by the Bangladesh government.

β€œWe have received the green signal (from the government),” a BCB official said for a cricbuz, although we have not yet received the official letter, which we are expecting as soon as possible. But as far as I know that the government has decided in the principle that they will visit Pakistan for the upcoming tour. β€œ

According to the report, the dates of the tour have been slightly postponed. Earlier, the series was scheduled to start from 25 May and end on 3 June. However, after recent developments, dates have been transferred to two days in the BCB’s revised journey program. The main reason for this is that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final had to be postponed on 25 May.

Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board was ready to get approval from the government and talk to the players about the decision.

β€œAfter receiving the official letter from the government, we will start talking with our players as we learned that some of them are reluctant to travel citing the security reasons,” he said. The BCB official said, β€œOne thing we can assure that we will not push anyone.”

Earlier, this is what the BCB gave to the developing situation:

β€œThe BCB wants to repeat that the safety and security board of its players and assistant employees remains the highest priority. All decisions related to the tour will be made with careful consideration of the current situation in Pakistan, ensuring that they are aligned with the best interests of team and Bangladesh cricket.”
