Bangladesh’s left-arm fast-bouler Mustafizur Rahman has been approved to join the Delhi Capital (DC) for IPL 2025 League Games after receiving no-option certificate from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Friday. The BCB also said that Mustafizur will be available for the first T20I of Bangladesh against UAE in Sharjah, being held on Saturday, before traveling to India for DC in IPL 2025. “As per the decision of BCB cricket operations, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has given a No Obobit Certificate (NOC) for the National Team Pachur. In India, for the period of 18 – 24 May 2025, BCB said in a statement.
DC held his match against top -order Gujarat Titans (GT) at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday evening. Will Murfizur be included in the eleven of playing directly, something that remains to be seen. Mustafizur was drafted by DC as a replacement for Jake Fraser-Makegurak, which would not return to India for personal reasons.
Mustafizur’s initial signature by DC had little trouble because the BCB said that NOC was not found at that time. Their joint means that DC has another foreign fast-bouling to rely, especially left-handed fast-bouling Spearhead Michelle is not returning with the Michel Staror, as DC kickstarted its race to enter the IPL 2025 playoffs in the fifth place.
Mustafizur first played for DC in 2022 and in 2023 editions of IPL. In IPL 2022, he took eight wickets in several matches at an economy rate of 7.62, while the next season saw him playing just two games and took a solitary skull. Overall, Mustafizur has played 57 matches and selected 61 wickets at an economy rate of 8.14.
