New places of IPL 2025 have been announced for playoffs and finals. Hyderabad and Kolkata were initially hosting the last four matches before the one -week suspension of the tournament. Now, Mulanpur and Ahmedabad will host the playoff stage matches. “After 70 action-pack league-stage matches filled with energy, drama, adventure and entertainment; Spotlight will be transferred to the new PCA stadium in New Chandigarh as it gears to host a much more awaited qualifier 1-the characteristic of the top-to rank sides on 29 May after Eliminar Clash.
“Enthusiasm will proceed as Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket stadium will host a electrification qualifier 2 and Grand Finals. Qualifier 2, Qualifier 1, Qualifier 1 will be played between the loser of 1 and the winner of the Eliminator, which will be played on 1 June. Tuesday, to be played on Tuesday, 3 June.”
The BCCI also divided the reason behind changing the IPL playoff places. “New places for the playoffs were decided by the IPL Governing Council keeping in mind the weather conditions and other parameters,” it said.
There was another change in the site in one of the IPL 2025 matches. “Tata IPL match number 65 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has been shifted to Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpey Ekna Cricket Stadium in Lucknow due to adverse weather conditions in Bengaluru in Lucknow, due to adverse weather conditions in Bengaluru in Lucknow.”
“Similar to the playoff stage, an additional one hour will be allocated to the game position for the remaining matches of the league stage, which will begin on Tuesday, 20 May.”
