Pakistan and Bangladesh will now start from May 28 and play a three -match T20I series at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The series, initially designed to include three one -day international and three T20I, was first reorganized in five T20s for Lahore and Faisalabad, but it was replaced in only three T20s for Lahorel, ICC menβs T20 World Cup 2026.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the final schedule, with the opening match on Wednesday, May 28, the second T20 on Friday, 20 May and the final game on Sunday 1 June.
All three games will be hosted under the light at the prestigious Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore will be marked the return of international white ball action and fans will be provided with a small but important series, with two teams looking forward to fix their squads ahead of a major global tournament.
The series also marks the beginning of a new chapter for Pakistan cricket, in which Salman Ali Aga has taken charge of the team in his first international assignment with Pakistan and former New Zealand coach Mike Hessen for the series.
The squad for the series was earlier declared, reflecting a mixture of regular and emerging talents, which would be eager to impress in the construction of the T20 World Cup set for next year in India and Sri Lanka.
For Bangladesh, tour has equal importance. The team captained by Litton Das is expected to land in Lahore on 25 May, determined the next day with their first training session. Visitors are currently playing a T20I series in the UAE, which has served as an early platform leading to Pakistan.
With the decrease in matches and consolidation of locations, both boards are looking to ensure quality preparation and reduce travel related fatigue. SLC and PCB have also cited the need to prioritize player workload management in a pack calendar year.
