A BCCI source told PTI, βThe issue is obliged to come to discuss the annual conference while India and Pakistan is unlikely to not play in the ICC knockout, not to draw them in the same group, which has been ideal in ICC events, a possibility,β a BCCI source told PTI.
India and Pakistan, drawn into the same group of ICC events, were given in the last decade, but in the wake of terrorist attacks in Pahgam on 22 April and later a demonstration between the two armed forces, which could change.
It is no secret that BCCI holds maximum clots in world cricket and even the ICC is headed by an Indian, J Shah.
Shah will first attend the annual conference as ICC President, taking charge in December.
Beyond the Champions Trophy won by India earlier this year, PCB, BCCI and ICC agreed to a hybrid model for Indo-Pak competitions by 2027. It remains to be seen whether the two nations play each other in the 2025 Womenβs World Cup in India later this year.
