“Absolute Inspiration”: Rohit Sharma retired from Test cricket as a hearty post by Shubman Gill

India’s opener and ODI vice-captain Shubman Gill said on Thursday that he would always remember the lesson he had learned from Rohit Sharma who has announced retirement from Test cricket. Rohit on Wednesday called Time on his Test career with more than a month for India’s tour to England, which will be his first assignment of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-2027 bicycle. The 25 -year -old Gill, who is widely believed to be one of the forefront of the role of India’s next Test captain, said in a social media post that Rohit has been the same “inspiration” for his peers and opponents.

Gill wrote in an Instagram post, “India is grateful to what he does in tests as a player and a captain.”

“You have been a complete inspiration for you and all the people played with you or you. There are things that I have learned from you that I am going to remember forever”.

He said, “Happy retirement to @Rohitsharma45, one of what I have played is the best captain. Thank you Cap!” He said.

Gill, which is a regular stability in Indian teams in formats, was appointed Rohit’s deputy in Odis before the Champions Trophy, which was won by India.
