As Shubman Gill took over the reins of India’s Test team before the much -awaited series against England, former cricketer Yograj Singh has praised the young captain’s visit, his father and the great Yuvraj Singh of India. Talking to Annie, Yogaj Singh emphasized the impact of strong mentorship and family support in shaping Gill’s career. “The credit for the performance of Shubman Gill goes to his father and Yuvraj Singh,” he said.
He said, “If Shubman Gill has become captain today and will last long, then Yuvraj Singh will play and play an essential role in it,” he said.
Yograj, the former international and father of Yuvraj Singh of India himself, said how Yuvraj’s cricketing intelligence has helped Gill to develop as a player and a leader.

Gill, who has influenced the formats with his composition and technology, is now facing the responsibility of the leading India in the longest format.
